PREPPER TIP: GAINING MONEY
Besides saving money there are a few ways to earn extra money for supplies and such.
THE JOB YOU ALREADY HAVE - Hang on to that job!  These are trying financial times and it’s a GREAT idea to hang onto the job one already has. Be on time for work and keep work quality high.  These days a lot of people are losing jobs and employees with a poor work ethic are being let go first.  Don’t be one of them.
OVERTIME - Make a point to volunteer for overtime whenever possible.  This will increase incoming cash.
GET A SECOND JOB -  If overtime is unavailable at the present job, than get a second one.  Nothing like a second paycheck to help out.
DO SOME SIDE WORK - In my neighborhood there are a couple of senior citizens who sometimes need someone to clean out their gutters or mow their lawns.  It’s an easy way to earn some pocket money.
RECYCLING - If your town has a recycling center than collecting aluminum cans and glass bottles might be a good idea.  It takes a lot of effort to earn a little money this way but, every little bit helps!
CHANGE JAR - Keep your spare change in a small jar and routinely carry it to one of those change exchange centers at a grocery store.  I do this and it’s like getting money I didn’t even know I had.

Your tips are equally relevant for college students, or anyone else who’s pinching pennies.
