I made brownies for the retreat this weekend. The goal was to make these, but then I learned that Cocoa Pebbles are not the same as chocolate Rice Crispy Treats. In my defense, in my youth we never bought brand name cereal and when I went to Walmart today all they had was brand name CP’s, and I just assumed that they were what I thought they were. Anyway, my rice crispy layer ended up a weird chocolate-strawberry flavored mush. It tastes okay, but it looks like something a sea creature would have excreted. I really had high hopes that this would be my first culinary success since going to college, but alas, no dice. 

In other news, I am again ignoring the debate. I am leaning more and more back towards being a consistent monarchist and not voting.
