Now, personally, I’m a hat person. While the ladies indeed have the option to cover their heads or not, it’s good to know that if they do want to wear something, they’re not stuck with lace. Any sort of hat will do. I’ve even seen a friend of mine use the hood of a hoodie. 

I guess I myself have an unpopular opinion: formal hats should make a comeback in both mens’ and womens’ fashion.

Although as a guy, I have to take my hat off when I go indoors, and it takes up space. The only acceptable headgear acceptable for men in church is ecclesiastical, and only when worn according to the rules. {]:-)

I agree. Hats are pretty rad, but walking around in a fedora for no reason these days is like wearing a sign that says “hey, I’m a tool!”
